No. Browsing this site, filling out the contact form, or requesting a quote doesn't obligate either of us to anything. A real agreement exists only once we've looked at the job — in person, by photo, or by phone — and put scope and price in writing, and you've approved it. Until then, nothing here is a commitment to send a plumber, do work, or hold a schedule slot.
Are the prices and descriptions on this site binding?
No. Service pages, ballpark ranges, and timelines on this site — for things like water heater installation, drain cleaning, sewer line repair, or repiping — are general information, not a quote for your specific address. A lot of housing across Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, and the rest of the metro predates current plumbing and drainage codes, and what's actually behind a wall, under a slab, or in a crawlspace only shows up once we're on site. Your real price comes after we've seen the job or reviewed the details and photos you send, and it's only firm once it's written down.
What happens once I approve a job?
Once you accept a written estimate or proposal, that document's terms — scope, price, payment, timeline, change orders — govern the work, not this page. If anything in a signed agreement conflicts with something on this website, the signed agreement wins.
Can weather or access change scheduling?
Yes. Portland's wet fall and winter stretches, and the occasional hard freeze, affect certain jobs — exterior spigot and backflow work, crawlspace and sump pump service, exposed pipe repair, and any dig for a sewer line or main water line. A freeze snap also drives a lot of calls about frozen or burst pipes at once, which can push out non-emergency scheduling. We'll tell you as soon as we know about a delay, but this website doesn't guarantee a start or finish time — that lives in your project agreement. If you have water where it shouldn't be right now, start with emergency plumbing, not this page.
Who owns the content on this site?
Photos, descriptions, and text on this site belong to Sheltons Construction LLC unless credited otherwise. Feel free to link to a page or share it, but don't republish our project photos or written content as your own without asking.
What happens to information I submit through the contact form or by phone?
When you fill out the contact form or call us, we collect what you give us to respond — typically your name, phone number, address or service area, a description of the problem, and any photos you attach. We use that to call or text you back, figure out what the job likely involves, quote it, and, if you hire us, to schedule the visit and keep a record of the work done at your property. We don't sell your information, and if you're just asking a question, we're not holding onto it for anything beyond answering you.
Is anything on this site a warranty?
No. Any workmanship or material warranty that applies to your job is spelled out in your signed estimate or invoice, not on this website. Nothing here should be read as a promise about outcome, timeline, or cost for your specific property.
Do these terms apply to landlords, property managers, and builders too?
Yes, the same basics apply whether you're a homeowner, a landlord coordinating tenant access, or a builder lining up rough-in and trim on a schedule. What changes is the paperwork on your specific job — a maintenance account, a tenant-improvement scope, or a construction schedule — which is handled in your written agreement, not this page.
Can these terms change?
