If you reach out to Sheltons Construction — a form on this site, a phone call, an email — we collect what you give us: name, phone, email, property address, and project details. We use it to answer you, quote the job, and (if you hire us) run the work. We don't sell it, and we don't hand it to marketers. Details below.
What information do we collect?
Just what you give us when you reach out through Contact Sheltons Construction, or when you call about something like an emergency, a water heater, or a drain that's backing up: name, phone number, email, property address, and whatever you tell us about the project. If you call, we may jot down notes from that conversation — the kind of thing any plumber writes down to remember what you told him. If you fill out a form on this site, it comes to us directly; we don't route it through a third party for advertising.
Basic website analytics — page views, which pages people land on, how they found the site — may be collected automatically through tools like Google Analytics. That's aggregate traffic data, not tied to you personally unless you've also submitted a form.
What do we do with it?
We use your contact and project information to:
- Respond to your quote request or question
- Schedule estimates and site visits across Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Gresham, and the rest of the metro
- Communicate about an active or upcoming job
- Keep records tied to permits, materials, and scheduling for work we perform for you
We don't use it for unrelated marketing campaigns, and we don't sell or rent contact information to other businesses.
Do we share your information with anyone?
Only when the job calls for it. That might mean giving an address or scope of work to a subcontractor, a supplier, or the local permitting office so your project gets built and inspected correctly. If you're a landlord or property manager coordinating a tenant repair, we'll share what's needed with the tenant to get access and get the job done — nothing beyond that. We don't pass your contact details to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
Do you use cookies?
This site may use basic cookies for functionality and analytics — remembering that you've visited before, or measuring which pages get traffic. We're not building advertising profiles on visitors.
How is my information stored?
Contact and project information is kept as long as it's useful for the job and for our own records afterward — project addresses, scope of work, correspondence. We take reasonable steps to keep it secure, the same way we'd keep any client file secure, whether the work was in Lake Oswego, Oregon City, or down in Salem.
Can I ask you to delete my information?
Yes. If you've filled out a form or called us and want your contact information removed from our files, email us and ask. If you're an active or past client, we may need to keep basic job records for our own purposes even after a deletion request — but we'll remove what we reasonably can.
Will this policy change?
It might, as the site or how we handle inquiries changes. If it does, the updated version goes up here.
Who do I contact with questions?
Reach out through the information on our contact page. If your question is about a specific quote or job, mention that so we can find your file quickly. General questions about how we work are also covered on our FAQ page.
